Challenge
In today's fast-paced world, families often struggle to find time to cook and share meals together. With multiple members contributing to meal planning, the process can become chaotic and disorganized. Traditional recipe management tools do not cater specifically to the needs of families, leading to inefficiencies and frustration. Families need a streamlined, collaborative solution to manage and share recipes effortlessly, ensuring that meal planning and cooking become a joyful and shared experience.
Goal
The primary goal of FamCube is to transform meal planning into a collaborative, stress-free activity for families. As the sole creator of the app, I was responsible for the design from scratch, taking the project from conception to implementation using React Native and Expo. The app aims to provide an intuitive platform where family members can generate, share, and manage recipes seamlessly. By focusing exclusively on recipe management, FamCube seeks to eliminate the chaos often associated with meal planning and foster a sense of togetherness among family members. The app's features are designed to ensure that everyone in the family can contribute to meal planning, making it a collective and enjoyable process.
Result
FamCube successfully addresses the challenges faced by modern families in meal planning. The app's user-friendly interface and collaborative features make it easy for family members to share and manage recipes, leading to more organized and enjoyable meal preparation. One standout feature allows users to upload photos of food ingredients, which the AI uses to generate recipe ideas based on dietary preferences. This feature enhances the app's functionality by offering personalized meal suggestions that cater to the family's dietary needs. Users can save and share these recipes among family members, making meal planning a more engaging and inclusive activity.
